Viewer challenge: fixing the 'Blinking NES'

Hello Ben. I have a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and it gets kind of annoying when the game doesn't start and the screen just 'blinks'.

So, how do i fix this? I heard from my friend that it has something to do with some kind of area-coding chip or something, but i'm afraid to open my NES for nothing.

The ultimate reason for this is the lockout chip. Upon boot, the one in the NES sychronizes with the one in the cart and then allows the game to run. So it's mostly the 4 signal pins for the lockout chip…

You clean the 72 pin connector with rubbing alcohol and the game will always need jiggling for you to get it to work but it is fixable with rubbing alcohold and patience of moving the game and jiggling it and resetting once you get the right menu and it continues to reset hit the reset button, There's many methods to fix it just look up the NES 72Pin Connector problem for tutorials

Yeah. heard that before. the problem is that i'm sick of cleaning the connector over and over again...
I'm looking for a permanent solution.
