DC power pak, but I would have to know the power need's for the computer before I say anymore.
I have chosen this setup:
- Asrock FM2A75M- ITX
- AMD A10 5800k
- ValueRAM 2 x 3 GB
- WD scrorpio black 750 GB 7200 rpm
- SANDISK ReadyCache 32 GB SSD for windows ( OPTIONAL )
- some small fans
I took eXtreme power supply calculator and got minimun PSU Wattage : 155 W and Recomend Wattage is 205 W
Ow And it also has to power an LCD screen
But it will be a little bit oversized laptop but I hope to get atleast 3 / 4 hours on the go with it.
Thanks in advance
You should invest in some higher quality lithium ion batterys, however it will probably take up a lot of space if you want to get 3-4 hours. Make sure the power output of the batteries match the power input of the computer, because otherwise you will have to deal with power conversions. Make sure to take into account the screen's draw on the battery, and ALWAYS make sure to have the proper charging board.
I have wanted to do/see something like this for a long time! What is you made a case for it that had the batteries in it. That way if you are not near an outlet you can use the power from the case and the actuall laptop wouldnt weigh as much. Kinda new at this so please feel free to poke holes!
P.S. I'm a fan of the APU
Hey I am also an fan of the APU
But now I think it would be better to buy and laptop motherboard and connect other ''attachments'' to it
because the mini itx mobo is in total like 45 cm high thats pretty big for an portable laptop this days.
so maybe and i5 mobo from an laptop and an old LCD screen ? and then fit it into an custom case

32gb ssd would be to small because some programs you can only install on drive where windows are, in your place i would use atleast 80-120gb ssd for windows
