hi, i watch your youtube on your portable pi and love it so much i wanted to make one. sad i am at a dead end and have no help figure out the battery system i like to do.
my problem is i want to power the pi, keyboard, wiki, and monitor. the RPi and usb stuff i want to run off a OKI-78SR-5/1.5-W36-C OKI-78SR-5/1.5-W36-C Murata Power Solutions | Mouser.
the monitor on the other is rate for 12v at .5 amp. the battery i been looking is a li-ion 11.1V 7800mAh which i was thinking a step up/down 12v could handle that, here is one i found Pololu 12V Step-Up/Step-Down Voltage Regulator S18V20F12, the only problem with that one is it output is 12v @ 2 amps, not sure if that's way too much?
finally the last problem i am having is recharge this thing. i am outdoor 12 hours a day. in the sun. the battery i been at is 9 cylindrical (18650) cell 2600mAh at 3.7v. i like to make a solar charge for it.
your fan, Chance
thanks
