So I have a broken(the graphic chip is broken) laptop, and I was wondering If it's possible to take the screen off and mod it, so you would get a regular LCD screen with an input plug (vga,dvi,hdmi, doesn't really mater at this point). I was thinking that the LCD screen in a laptop is basically a regular LCD plugged in to a graphics card, even if it use a ribbon cable. So what I want to do is take the screen off, from the broken laptop, and mount some kind of plug on to it, so it could work as a regular screen, separated from the rest. My question is: is this something easily done, or there is no point om trying because of how complicated/ costly it would be ?
