An "old record player"?

Former Member
Former Member over 10 years ago

Hello,

i was thinking about "Phonograph" or gramophone or we all like to called it "record player" an old record player that almost obsolete that used an old black record disk that is in 70's, i know how it work but converting a sound wave from the crooked surface of the record disk to an amplifier to make sound, but i was thinking can the wave show a video output, i know its a completely different from sound wave, think about it, my suggestion is put multiple amplifier to detect the wave that can make and output of not just sound but video wave (of x and y axis) if that make sense. and is this still possible?

most appreciate it, if someone can answer this

    Hello guys,

i have seen Ben heck show, really love it, interesting, so that why i want Ben to make some kind of disk player that can play old record disk to display video output not just sound, or translate the ripple sound into some kind of data than translate into video, or it can store data same funtion as compact disk, with this the old disk record is much durable that the modern compact disk

If you want to just display the sound wave them your best bet is probably to hook your record player up to an ossiloscope.
