3 way-switch-confused how to wire it

Hi!

I'm having a little bit confused now. I thought it should be simple but I become clueless some how.

image

Refer to figure a. above, my question is how can I make a wire connection between 3-way switch A6E3101 (figure b.) and three resistors.

The switch has 6 pins, I assumed pin 4, 5 and 6 is for the 'on' state.

Please advice.

Thank you.

The schematic does not match the item or footprint.  That is a 3way switch in the schematic but figure b and c are a 3position dip switch.

Ignoring the schematic, if the switch is wired crosswise (1-4, 2-5,3-6) you should be able to wire 1 resistor each for the pins 4,5,6 up to VCC, then pins 1,2,3 are tied to ground.  Your signals will then be on 4,5,6 and pulled-up by the resistors.

    Hi colecago!

    That's really fast, thank you!

You are right, the schematic does not match the footprint. I'm using Altium designer, and the footprint was created by myself and I haven't made the schematic symbol since I don't know how it supposed to be look like; I just put the symbol I found in the library to make the question clearer.

Anyway, can you tell me how does the symbol for the 3 position dip switch looks like?

    Thank you

or probably you can direct me to the component that really reflects the 3-way switch instead a 3 position switch?

    Thank you in advance.

I'm having trouble finding pcb type of 3way switches.  What you need to look for is a SP3T switch.
