Hello!  I have been wondering of the projects you can make from a raspbery pi. And I thought is it possible to make a tablet using a raspberry pi?

The big challenge is the LCD. Everything either a custom 10" LCD for a tablet, or a 50" television.

Well... unsoldering the big "unnecessary" components of the RasPI and the LCD driver board is always an option, Ben Heck has en episode in which he does exactly that to make it as flat as possible. If you get a bigger screen both boards would fit in nicely behind the LCD.... but always remember to leave space for wires... that's always important.

I don't think building a tablet is a great use for a RasPI, here you can find some ideas: http://pingbin.com/2012/12/30-cool-ideas-raspberry-pi-project/

I am currently using mine as a multi emulator game console, you can find out how to do that here: http://lifehacker.com/how-to-turn-your-raspberry-pi-into-a-retro-game-console-498561192
