Help with Powering a Project

Question

im working on a project that im using an Arduino Uno R3 and a SSC-32 servo controler thats powering 28 HXT900 servos

The Arduino is 12V 1A and the SSC-32 is 9V 500mA

i have an enercell 18/24V 1A AC power adapter that i have laying around. i was wondering is it possible to us that adapter to power both device and how.

The Arduino can do multiple voltages so you could use the same supply for both. And I don't think the Arduino will need a full amp if its not powering many peripherals. Also the servo controller might draw 500mA but 28 servos will not, you will need a beefier supply.

Jesse's right you can plug 12 volts into an Arduino (the barrel plug or VIN pin) and it will be fine. -Ben
