I am a young engineer looking for some help.
I am trying to reverse-engineer a Samsung 15.6in TFT-LCD (Model No.: LTN156AT09-H03), that a scavenged from an old laptop I had laying around. I downloaded a PDF of its specifications, which is very detailed, but I am still unsure on how to go about my project. What I want to do, is re-purpose the screen to use it as a screen for my Raspberry Pi, sort of a future MAME arcade project. From what I have gathered from the PDF, I think it has both the Driver and LCD Driver already. (I know it has the LED Driver at the very least.)
I provided some information below, (some of what the PDF tells me about it and the pin layout) and my question is, is everything already here that I need to use this right away? and if so, for a composite input, which pins do I need to use, and which pins do I need to use for the LED backlight? Any help would be very much appreciated. If there is anymore information I can provide from the PDF to help, I would be glad to retrieve it for you.
The PDF shows this:
LED Back Light with embedded LED Driver, DE (Data enable) only mode, 3.3V LVDS Interface, Onboard EEDID chip, and Green product (RoHS and BFR/PVC free compliance) under the features.
Under general information is also says that the driver element is "a-Si TFT active matrix".
