I have another question about my atari portable. I want to use this joystick, Thumb Joystick - $3.95 : FunGizmos, make something fun! but it use potentiometers. the atari use buttons. is there a way to use this for my atari portable or do i have to use a d-pad like ben heck. (I am using an Atari Flashback 4.)
Thanks, the pin out helped. This piout should work fine. Please excuse the awful drawing, this is the first time I have used this programming. The underside of the joystick is shown and the top of the page is up.
Thanks for the explanation I read further into it and figured it out. Now i will be able to finish my atari Portable.
will post pic when done.also the joystick i showed you on the website earlier has a built in button when you
push the knob down. can i use this as an optional "fire" button?
