How to connect a gamecube to an old laptop LCD screen?

Hi,

I searched for something to do with my old Laptop, which I dont use anymore.

I decided to try to build a portable GameCube including the old 17" LCD Screen.

 

I find a lot of ways to connect hdmi parts (like the pi) to an lcd screen.

 

I m very new to this topic...

 

I foudn some LCD control panels with s-video input - is this what i have to look for?

 

Can anyone provide some help/links=

    I have a similar kit I used to repurpose my LCD screen from my droped dead HP laptop from years ago.  I sent the model of the laptop screen to them so the board could be prepared to properly drive the screen.  I hooked up everything and low and behold it worked great.

     

    Since this was a 17 inch screen I was wondering what I could use it for.  I started using it with the XMB media center for the Raspberry Pi I have.  So I got to thinking it would be cool to have a portable work station for the Pi or use it for entertainment.  Right now I have a rough case built.  Its nothing fancy like Ben Heckendorn does but its a start.  I am currently looking into 3d printers to design some mounts for the screen clutches to mount into so I can close the case with the screen, KB, etc will fold into a portable unit.  I'm hoping I may actually have time to complete the project by spring time permitting.  Then its back to attempting a 4x4x4 RGB LED cube.

    If your panel is one of those specified then great. Assuming it all works together nicely.Mind you for this price you are well on the way to a new monitor with a warranty.
