I'm just wondering on the show whether Ben uses a high or low temp hot glue gun? Does it matter when gluing to things like PCB's? Wondering if it can possibly get hot enough to melt solder or plastic if using high temp.

Usually the glue stick has a certain temperature that it needs in-order to melt down. So if you are not using two different types of glue sticks there will be no point in, my opinion to have two different temperature levels. But we usually use different temperature levels in soldering because there are different solder with different percentage of lead ( and silver for lead free solder) that melts in different temperatures.
