TBHS Build Idea: Automatic targeting bidet.

First off, Bidets are the best. Dry paper is just such a crude way to clean!

But it can be awkward to get a Bidet jet to line up properly for the best clean. My build idea for the show is to make some kind of device that automatically aims the cleaning water stream. My guess is that it would need some kind of low light camera, perhaps an Infrared sensitive one with a few LEDs. This could then use some kind of software to aim the water stream at the right place.

I know this might seem like a bit of a silly idea, but for elderly or people with restricted movement it could make life quite a bit easier.

I was about to ask if it was IOT enabled - and then I noticed the remote control - endless fun possible when you average OAP mixes this one up with the TV. I'm downgrading to leaves - it'll be safer. …

You just can 't put a camera there - it's bad enough when your security camera is hacked, but your bidet camera .... aaaargh!!! MK

Perhaps all these people dropping their iPhones down the loo were ahead of the curve ? Almost half of all water-damaged mobile phones in the UK have been dropped into the toilet, study finds | Daily Mail…

All things considered, using potable water to clean yourself in a Bidet seems to be wasteful to me.

Paper may be crude, but it beats using leaves or sand.
