Ben picked up a bunch of Ataris and has been tearing them apart(Lisa!) to fix the ones he can. We have an upcoming build where he would like to have multiple models for testing. We have a particular game in mind for this project, but we'd like to know what was/is your favorite Atari game? Have you made any awesome Atari hacks you'd like to share? Tell us about them in the comments below!image

I added svideo and composite. I also built an adapter to use neo geo controllers and start and select on the controller serve as reset and select.

I think that would probably be 'Night Rider' and 'Moon Patrol'. Did anyone else have 'BASIC Programming' with the keypads ... ? ...and who else had heavy-handed 'friends' that kept breaking the shafts…

My favorite Atari 2600 game is Adventure. I still remember reading about the mysterious "dot" in a computer magazine as a kid. Eventually I found the dot and uncovered the Easter Egg. I was extremely disappointed…

Some of my favorites were Missile Command,       Raiders of the Lost Ark, Breakout, ET, and Space Invaders.

I remember discovering that there was a Krull game for the Atari. I loved the movie as a kid so I was really excited to play it. We'll just say it was underwhelming. But fun to check out with my friends, none the less. The glaive didn't look so glaive like. (Funny childhood note: I tried to tell my dad what movie I wanted to watch and told him "Boomerang", thinking of the glaive. He was so confused why I wanted to watch that Eddie Murphy movie.)

It would be interesting to see another console's board swapped with an Atari case if there are any non-working boards found.

Great find Ben! Nice sweater. It was 78 today in Virginia. Looking forward to upcoming episodes.

Hmmm. We have had an extra Atari case lying around. Ben put one on the hack rack at my hackerspace so someone could do something cool with it. Sadly, I have yet to see something done with one.

Before companies allowed developers to have credits, the developer of Adventure snuck his name into the game.
