Love your build and the way you present this.  I think you would be a great successor to Ben.

Yeah thats right. I could just create a second image which is lightly shifted and use seperate montors for the eyes, but I think that may strain your eyes until you puke...
I would like to fetch a real alternative or some kind of holographic display.

ok fair enough, good call Clem, I was really just talking about updates for exposure , votes etc didn't notice I was on doug's post.. I removed the convex lenses myself from my first AR headset prototype and find that the prism lenses don't have distortion/fixed focal length and thus better for AR/VR webAR/webVR developers to check, and as far as old games the 3D can only be some sort of parallax effect not necessarily true stereoscopic 3D utilizing existing 3D graphics! i.e street fighter and doom/quack etc.. but I think you could simply offset the doom camera in a second view and it would give a nice 3D effect!

This area is key to my projects moving forward so I'm keen to find all variations and have various interchangeable prototypes to test with!

Want to see my latest project?
it is a 1:10th  Scale RC Crawler (for Rock Crawling) to drive it in the austrian championship ASTS ( austrian scale team series). I have set some serious challenges to myself with this project :

    • it has to comply with the rules for Class C1 or C2(basically if it would be a real car it would pass a DMCA/TÜV inspection and needs all the scale details like licence plates and functional lights/signals)
    • it has to perform great in extreme offroad conditions
    • it has to look freaking awesome ( its a Vw Baja Bug)
    • AND I have only 24 workhours time to finish it.

HERE IS THE FULL VIDEO for Element14-Community Members in this project! Video is in german but you don't need to understand what I'm saying.

I finished this build right before the HLH BOM arrived. The frist drive happened on April 7th and I edited it on April 8th (CET).
