I used a Raspberry Pi Zero W, some open source knowledge and some of own to make GamerMan Ultra Classic.  Like to thank those who helped me with the video, in particularly my friend Trev for making the GamerMan Ultra Classic Splash/Logo.  I look forward to catching up on some much needed sleep!

Yah in a couple of instances it was done on purpose, but ya it could have used some more tweaking for sure. Gotta further those "master" craftsman skills

"That old fat Sega Genesis thing".. LOL! Aside from some camera focus and audio level issues, this was a really cool video to watch! You've obviously got some great skills and the wood case is a nice touch…

Thank Rory I was trying to show the key bits of how I put it together, any chance we will get to see some video/details of your project?

Wooden cases are always so nice when complete! Good job on the PCB and getting it all to fit nicely! Screens can be difficult to wire GPIO but you overcame the obstacles easily! Great build! image

    Thanks Andy,

I genuinely forgotten the name of the SEGA Game Gear, it wasn't staged.  I watched the raw video of the IO board and then went out to buy a desk tripod (a few) and CNC'd another board, but ran out of time to re-shoot it, however the new tripods did come in handy for shooting the "final assembly" part and the stinger at the end.  For the last little bit I felt I had to use the auto focus, it was late at night and I was having difficulties focusing on what I was soldering let alone making sure the camera was in focus.

Your idea of doing a battery powered table top cabinet is pretty neat, you don't have to worry about plugging it in when you want to use it, i like it and you did a nice job building it.

    Cheers,

    Chris

The wood looks great image one thing about the video, I think your sound levels need a bit of a rework, sometimes the music is way louder than you or your voice alone is not loud enough, I was constantly fiddling on my volume controls.
