I like the idea of a case, however why not mod one I already love? Take for instance the Trianium Atomic Pro battery case for the S7. Just add a slide/snap on https://www.tinkercad.com/things/8JGuoR01WQ7-flat-pokeball with slightly rounded edge on the back to hold the battery backup and to run a flat charging cord to the phone. The Poké Ball ring would be a gel housing an LED that fades a transition of your team color or white if you want a nightlight or have no team yet.

For a bit more awesome instead you could mod a smartwatch for the back and simply show a customizable Poké Ball animation of some sort.

Whatever you make Ben it's going to be awesome!

I guess if I was about to go waste my time and throw myself in harms way by walking the streets with my head down, I'd go for this idea (charge cell phone while walking) - Best one so far; Even been done for real in the 1st episode of the Thingamabob TV series on History - That way, at least I'd turn what was an enormous waste of time by actually converting it into some sort of energy.

    POKEDEX PHONE CASE / CHARGER

    1. The Phone plugs into a built in USB which is connected to a LiPo battery backup.

    2. LiPo charge indicated when charging phone.

    3. When the case is open a Super Bright LED flashes on the back.

(Warning that the Player may not be paying attention)

    4. The USB port has been relocated for space.

    5. Mechanical buttons allow access to the phone's side (or top) buttons.

    6. Different inserts for different types of phones.

HUD: Heads up display. To incorporate the other things you talked about in your video, you could simply put a colored LED on the headset to designate your team. Other than that, I can't think of anything the Poke-watch thing doesn't do.

Build a solar panel braclet that fits on the hand since all the time u r playing , your hands will be flat and horizontal, so this can get the one juiced up directly or you can juice up a portable charger that can be used when there Is no more juice in the charger .

You can use the step-up DC 5v booster to get the solar voltage up and in a stable state .

Using arduino or any other microcontroller , put a Ultrasonic distance sensor at the back and front of the user , such then when the user gets so close to bump on something , It Will automatically vibrate a motor embedded on the user , this is an alternative other that using piezo buzzers to beep . You can install 4 or 6 of the distance sensors , 2 - 4 on both the right foot and the left foot , back and front so if u were about to bump on something on the floor , this will automatically let you know . And 2 other distance sensors on the body , just under the sholder so when you are entirely focusing on ur device , you won't bump on anyone infront or at the back of you , everything is hooked up to DC vibration motors .

Belt pack with enough lithium batteries to keep a phone / tablet running all day. Also some kind of obstacle detection system (ultrasonic / IR (you could re purpose a car reversing sensor system to cut design time) ) to alert the user of an oncoming obstacle, possibly with a pop up on the device screen ?

    POWER HARVESTER

Pokemon Go eats batteries, but makes you walk around a lot. Harvest some of the walking motion as a battery charger.

Alternatively make a harvester for other types of motion, increasing the game efficiency against sedentarism.

I think you should make some type of bracelet which can display 3 colours of 3 teams in pokemon so you could see if someone is on your team.

A portable power supply like a wristband or  glove that also works like the pokemon go plus.

It would be even cooler if you could mount your phone on it, so you wouldn't have to carry your phone in your hand. You could just bring your hand up and access your phone as well.

Although, this might look funny with my Nexus 6 on it. But still cool.
