A portable N64 is one of the most frequently requested builds from members but is difficult to hack because it’s easy to damage and requires a lot of rewiring to make it portable. Shielded ribbon cable would probably be the first thing to get your hands on to try. 3M stuff, of course, nothing else.
this was a problem with the PCIe stuff when bitcoin and dogecoin miners were huge on PCs. extenders didn't have them and would generally have bad data going back to the motherboard because of interference with other things. swap with a shielded cable, and she's good.
