I'd like to see them make a diy DAC board for the Raspberry pi. Especially using the pcm1794 DAC chip. I'm trying to figure out how to make one with balanced XLR outputs. So of course I'd need two chips.

cool to know whats out therer, seems pretty handy.
Just my two cents:
I would prefer to present those evaluation kits right in the application.
This means to show the workflow, from problem, evaluation with the kit, to final decision.
This would show everybody how to use such kits, a lot of beginners might not understand what felix and ben are talking about, when they can't relate to it.
