What's your best advice for getting started making things? Which tools should a person buy? Or is the best bet to find their local makerspace/hackerspace and join as a member there and use their tools?

Ben,

How much of the equipment in the show is yours (that you'll be taking away with you - compared to what will stay when you leave)? Did you buy the equipment out of necessity or just because you wanted to? Are you doing any more guest appearances anywhere (like you did on The Screensavers?) Are you working on any more consumer products - maybe you could quickly comment on UL, CE certs...
