SEGA Genesis VS Super Nintendo

Ben Heck recently broke down the Sega Genesis and a Super Nintendo to scientifically prove which 16 Bit console was the best. Which console do you think was better?

Not having ever used either one or watched Ben's video, I went with the SEGA Genesis since it has a 68000 CPU. I have very fond memories of programming and writing compilers for the 68000. It's a very…

mcb1 , frankly it sounded clear to me that is a 16 bit with internal 32 bit architecture. Despite the wiki I remember this CPU. It was the "revolution" as I have used before the 6502 processor. Wiki says…

Look. Sega might've went with better architecture hardware but they did not take it to it's full potential. which is where I feel they fell short of this bout. SNES might've utilized what I see SNES haters refer to as inferior hardware, but managed to do it in such a way that they took more use of their hardware and truthfully the support gfx hardware chips some of the more intensive titles used. I don't look at that as a crutch but more of ingenuity. despite whats under the hood, it all comes down to the end result, in which this case, is gameplay.

You want to know which console is superior to the other. I own both systems and I have titles for both that I still love to play today. However, SNES, for me gave more titles I loved to grow up with and I feel they take more advantage of their underlying hardware, IMO. So that's why I'll go with the SNES.

BTW, Killer Instinct FTW!!!!! Take that Genesis.

I'm just gonna counter with Streets of Rage 2 and call it a day.

Though I will say Starfox has a special place in gaming for me since it was the first polyginal 3d game I ever played.
