Frustrated when you miss a package? Never miss another parcel by being able to inform the delivery person that you are on your way, or when to leave the parcel when you're out, with a handy IOT connected screen linked into an existing doorbell.

Well that defeats the purpose of making things and as it says above, you you can use this project for other purposes....

I think a lot of people forget the benefits of having an intercom or home IoT system infrastructure that you have full control of, I know far too many people that are upset about their Amazon or Google…

Did you have further plans in mind for the HyperPixel display ? It looks like it could do a bit more than just basic text display ? Perhaps some scope for animations, seasonal themes, etc.

Nice idea, but why try to reinvent the wheel.

All you have done is made a cheaper version of an internet enabled intercom.

    https://www.aiphone.com/home/products/jo-series

this is the same thing but is internet enabled, and allows two way voice communication with the person, and you can see who is at the door as well.

Although i have linked to a JO intercom, there are cheaper intercoms available that are around the $200 AUD mark, all you need to do is install it.
