Due to the need for both speed and precise timing, video conversion tasks are often left to FPGAs or similar devices. But in this episode, Andy demonstrates how a $4 microcontroller can be used to convert Game Boy video into something that can be displayed on a big screen. Combine that with an NES controller port, and you've got a TV console that can play original Game Boy games!

I loved getting this to work! Trying to make a composite version for a project and just running into a lot of issues, I think mostly because I’m new to pico programming. Any help or suggestions to get this working would be greatly appreciated!

Well I build a lot of odd handhelds, and I am working on one now, long story short I need to convert to a composite signal instead of vga, though I did use a cheap converter to achieve this extra step along with Andy’s vga version. But there really is only a hand full of people that have documented anything with composite as it’s not useful to most people? Anyhow just not real sure how to approach rewriting the signals to be in that format just pushes me out of my comfort zone a bit as signal conversion in code makes my head spin a bit
