DIY MagSafe Battery Charger -- Episode 487

Whether you love or hate Apple as a company, Apple has always tried to put its own spin on traditional or common technologies, while appearing sleek and polished. Most recently, they have created a new way of charging your phone called MagSafe, similar to standard Qi wireless charging found in other smartphones. Watch Adam build a MagSafe battery bank that can be taken on the go, while resembling and functioning like something Apple would design.

I just have to ask, how many total magnets did you use, and not just in the final build. The final total...

The final design used 60 magnets and the first prototype used 20. I was able to remove most of the magnets from the first design (because I didn't glue them in that design), so I reused a lot of them. I want to say that I purchased a pack of 100 magnets online just in case, so I still have extra.
