Teardown and Comparison of the XBox Elite Series 2 vs Google Stadia Controllers -- The Electronics Inside 70

Most game controllers these days are pretty much aesthetic variations on a core design. However, I suspect there may be one controller with more that just cosmetic differences. Join me and see if my hunch was correct!

It looks to me as though the game only support keyboard inputs, so probably not? At least not without intermediate software mapping the controller to key emulation?

Excellent question! I can't say I remember seeing them other than the original steam controller? Maybe they aren't tactile enough for regular game play as I'd have thought they'd be an excellent choice fore something thin like the switch?

I would have thought rotary capacitive sensors would be competitive with resistive pots.

Another great tear down.

I am not a gamer, but I can appreciate an elegant solution.

I agree that there should have been more thought into the long term usability, but I suspect that they were more interested in planned obsolescence.
