Hi All,
This blog is going to explain about my wireless Halloween which is controlled by phone with intelligence of social distancing.
Components:
I have used below components in my project,
1. Plastic made Halloween Pumpkin
2. PSoC4 BLE board from Cypress Semiconductor
3. DF Player MP3 board
4. Memory card
5. 3W Mini Speaker
6. LED's & Wires
Concept:
The concept is , Halloween lights and sound effects are controlled from the mobile through Bluetooth. Also the pumpkin is
wired with CapSense proximity sensing. If anyone try to touch the Pumpkin's surface the scary sound will be produced from the
speaker. The LED lights color can be changed from the mobile app.
Design.
Hardware Setup:
I took an PSoC4 BLE Pioneer kit and implemented the CapSense proximity on it. Then integrated the DF Mini player board via SPI command
interface. by sending SPI commands to play the mp3 files in the memory card. For Bluetooth interface i have used Custom GATT service to send
commands from the mobile. CySmart Android app is used for controlling the LED colors and changing the scary sound effects. In this demo I'm
generating the random sounds effects on every touch.
Finally the setup is installed inside the Halloween Pumpkin. CapSense proximity antenna wires are attached around
the surface.
How does it work?
Checkout the working video here and have fun. This Halloween scares when you go near to touch, means
this Halloween knows what is social distancing
