Using Disney park tickets/keycards as NFC task triggers on Android phones

This video tip applies to any cards like this that use NFC, e.g. keycards from hotels, amusement parks, and wristbands from certain events. Just try scanning the card with your phone to see if it's NFC-based. If it is, you'll be able to use apps like Automate on Android to trigger apps, sound profiles, home automation tasks, and much more!

 

It certainly beats sticking them in the bin! Turn them into something useful & help automate your life image

    Yeah, at least isn't not bad to find in the store. Try to search for 'automate' and an issue you've got with the flow, and it starts to get tricky image

    Absolutely right. You would not think that you could link that app to NFC.

     

    Mind you when searching, it very much depends on what search term you use.

     

    I tried two search terms in Google Play Store and it throws up very different results.

     

    Using "NFC Tasks" you get:

     

    Top of list is "NFC Tasks", which also allows you to generate automated tasks with NFC but it does not provide the flow chart options for setup.

    Automate is on the 4th row.
