I guess the suggestion box moved here so I will reiterate one idea I mentioned earlier and add one: - a classroom demonstration of some physics phenomenon ( jc2048 had some good ideas ) - a solar powered…

Keeping with July and (northern hemisphere) Summer time, I like Douglas' ideas. Demonstration of physical phenomenon for classroom is a great avenue, I was thinking lots of solar stuff. Charging systems…

I voted for Restoration and Repair. I have this fix at hand:

All photos of this teaser, except for the flyer inset top left, are of the WIP.

    Another suggestion:

Science: Build a science aparatus, a measuring device or a project to show/explain science principles. Examples could be: an amplifier that can detect action potentials of neurons, a project that shows different properties of waves such as reflection, refraction or wave interference, or an instrument to measure different physical quantities such as mass, temperature, time, etc.

Restoration/repair: Restore or repair electronic equipment, it could be an old bakelite vacuum tube radio, vintage test equipment, or any other electronic equipment that needs some love to work again. The restoration could include fixing not just the electronics but also the chassis or aesthetics.

I like this idea and it should appeal to many model makers.

I would love to see a low to no cost build of a small battery toothbrush shaped and/or hand held spot welder (maybe using capacitors) like people building battery packs use in videos I've seen on YouTube. Maybe a bit stronger as I want to use it for 1/16 soft metal (but not really on the before mentioned battery packs) I'm disabled and tinker when I feel well enough in my home because I don't feel safe enough in workshop using a mig welder.

I have been fascinated by chaos theory for a long time.  Those are both great links.

While on the subject of art projects, I spotted this generative art project based on sensor data recently:

Wacky Weirdos: Creating Art with Data

    https://www.hackster.io/wacky-weirdos-creating-art-from-data/wacky-weirdos-creating-art-with-data-7d1b4b

    It builds upon this project:

Chaos Equations - Simple Mathematical Art

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDSIRXmnVvk&feature=youtu.be

May be of interest to those wanting to get arty with their Xmas displays this year.

Another idea for future - Electronic Art such as freeform circuitry. There was a presentation I was fortunate enough to attend recently by Mohit Bhoite that has been posted on YouTube (great video but 25 minutes long):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqVFxNFGNbc

The topic could be expanded to be more than freeform circuitry - see for example the great entries for PiCasso.
