Monthly Theme Poll

Project14 is a monthly project competition from element14. There are no applications to fill out so competition is open to all community members who want to participate! You won't be given any required kits to use so you must choose what components work best for your project and demonstrate your project using video proof.

image

Project14 competitions have always been more about having fun and learning than winning prizes.  Part of that fun is earning badges and shopping cart to use in components to build your next project.

By Members for Members

Badges are intended as a way to encourage members to take the first steps to starting a project, finishing that project, and collect trophies for winning competitions. You can also win a badge for volunteering to judge a project competition, gifting your prize to another member, and for inspiring others to compete in a Project14 project competition.

Hi clem57 , You will be receiving your badge shortly. The list of names has been submitted but the badges haven't been distributed as we're a little behind. :-)

A great summary. I have been blundering about around Element14 and especially Project14 (It took me a year to realise they were different!) for nearly two years now so it is useful to see what all these…

Ideally,  it would be 1-2 weeks after the competition closes.  There's no automated process of doing these badges yet but may be something to look into moving forward.   The way things are done now are that badges are assigned manually.  Because of this it will take a little longer as I will submit a list of names to be assigned by the community engagement manager.   I will be setting up another batch of badges to go out soon as I know we are behind on this again.

    Hi tariq.ahmad

I notice the badges seem to get awarded in bunches as it comes up on the task list to bring them up to date.

How often are the badge awards updated?

ie. How long should we wait before prodding for missing badges to be actioned?

A great summary. I have been blundering about around Element14 and especially Project14 (It took me a year to realise they were different!) for nearly two years now so it is useful to see what all these badges mean, as well as the points that go with them, although as we all know, points are only secondary. But as we all also know, eventually we will have enough points and then the world is ours! Hahahaha …..
