Android Lollipop is a major update with over 5,000 new APIs included in the SDK. Its also includes a new runtime (ART) and many changes to existing capabilities. In this SecCasts Live presentation, we will examine the Android security model and demonstrate techniques for securely building your apps. We will explore Android's IPC attack surface, cryptographic features, transport security, and access control features. We will also take a look at how the new members of the Android ecosystem such as Wear and TV fit into the security equation.
