That’s why new development tools and kits are now available so everyone -- Makers, Hobbyists, Students, Educators and Professional Makers -- can create IoT projects. The goal of this webinar is to show you an easy-to-use to development platform which provides anyone a design tool for the developing and testing of IoT-related radio applications without being any expert.


Called the AMBER PI, it is an expansion board for the Raspberry Pi  that equips it with a sub-1-GHz RF interface provided by AMBER wireless. It includes sensors (temperature, humidity, pressure, motion) as well as a simple software development environment for the configuration and operation of various RF modules. All you need is a few lines connected to a UART interface to establish the hardware connection. The convenient command interface allows to configure and operate the radio module.

He was born in Namibia and studied in SA. After graduation Manfred started his career at the CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) in Pretoria amongst other in speech recognition and signal analysis. During 2013 he started working as embedded software developer and field applications engineer with Amber Wireless before their integration into Würth Elektronik eiSos. His focus lies in wireless connectivity and smart metering.
