Hi Tom,

The example assumes that you have the CC110L BoosterPack plugged in. If it is not plugged in then it will hang on Radio.begin(...) in the Radio tab.

If you do have it plugged in then make sure it is oriented in the right position like is show in the picture of the CC110L guide: Guide_AnarenCC110LAIRBoosterPack | Energia.

You can test all of the code without having the radio though. Simply comment out everything in setup() and then everything in loop() except the delay(100) like below.

When loading WebinarGatewayV2 into the cc3200 I get the response:

I verified that the variable resistor should have fixed ends at Vcc and Gnd with wiper going to pin 2.

The LCD display looked wonky so I added the line myLCD.clear():   just ahead of the myLCD.println  so that it didn't leave the display with residual characters when the conversion was down from 4 digits.

I found the above links on Friday but only just had a chance to try the jumper from SOP2 to J8 about 30 minutes ago. It solved my issued so I posted the linkabout 15 minutes before you did. ;-)

I did listen to the webinar again and heard you mention pin 2. I'm not sure whether you are connecting the wiper of the variable resistor to pin 2 and have the fixed ends connected to Vcc and Gnd or is there an internal pullup so you vary the resistance and connect only one end of the resistor to Gnd.

To answer your questions:

1) Both the sensors and the variable resistor on the 2 different boards were connected to pin number 2. The example Sketch that is downloadable from the webinar website uses analogRead() to read the analog value from pin number 2 around line number 38.

2) The “MultiBlink” Sketch is included in the Energia installation under File->Examples->10.MultiTasking->MultiBlink. This example Sketch is setup to use the Blue, Red and Green LED’s. Unfortunately does not have a Blue LED but instead features a Yellow LED. In the tab called “BlueLed” change "#define LED BLUE_LED” to "#define LED YELLOW_LED"

3) The jumper wire on the CC3200 is there so that the board will be reset after the Sketch is uploaded. Details for how to install this jumper wire can be found on cc3200 hardware guide | Energia. The pin map for the CC3200 can be found here: Guide_CC3200LaunchPad | Energia
