The Fuel Tank BoosterPack is an add-on board to the TI LaunchPad series of devices that gives users the ability to add mobility and lithium battery charging capability to their designs. Ming Yu & Miguel Aguirre from Texas Instruments will go over the functionality and operation of the bq27510 single cell gas gauge used on the BoosterPack to monitor and output the key parameters needed for Lithium battery charging. Vandana Lokeshwar from element14 will give users an overview of the operation of the Fuel Tank BoosterPack and how it connects to the full line of TI LaunchPad series of development kits.

Ming Yu is Business Development Manager for Battery Management Solutions business unit at Texas Instruments Inc. Prior to that, Ming is Applications Manager for Handheld Solutions Product Line. He joined TI in 1998 and has been working on battery fuel gauge for handheld applications since 2004. Ming holds masters degrees in Electronics Engineering and Physics and a BS in Optoelectronics.

Miguel Aguirre is a Systems and Applications Manager for Battery Management Solutions business unit at Texas Instruments Incorporated. He joined TI in 2001 and has been working on battery chargers and since joining the company. Miguel holds an MBA and BSEE.
