This webinar will provide an introduction to next generation TinyBuck Integrated Synchronous Buck Regulator from Fairchild Semiconductor. The product family offers voltage step down solutions operating from supply rails of 5V, 12V, and 19V to provide output voltages from 0.6V to 5.5V with output current rating from 6 Amps to 15 Amps. Topics include discussion of the TinyBuck feature set, benefits of Constant On Time operation, examples of high efficiency solutions, and collateral discussion including evaluation boards and on online simulation tool. The online simulation tool will be used to complete a typical design operating from a 12V power rail.
Presenter: Mark Dennis – Applications Engineer
Mark Dennis received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Duke University with a focus on topics related to power electronics. He has worked as a design engineer for companies designing custom and proprietary power conversion equipment including Taltronics and Cree LED Lighting, and has focused on power management IC development at Unitrode, TI, and now Fairchild. Mark has worked for over six years as an applications and systems engineer with Fairchild involved in developing products including TinyBuck and low-side MOSFET drivers. Previous work includes developing controllers for DC/DC and AC/DC converters using various control and isolation techniques.
