Jon Francis developed a passion for power electronics engineering nearly 30 years ago when testing the efficiency of space satellite power supplies as an undergraduate student. An early career designing industrial and scientific power supplies followed, including the development of a novel frequency modulation control technique for a high voltage electron microscope power supply. As a product champion at Astec-Emerson Jon developed a broader range of production, applications and marketing skills. Jon joined Voltech, a company renowned for providing innovative power electronics test and measurement solutions, as an applications engineer 20 years ago and led the sales and marketing team at Voltech before joining the Tektronix power analyzer team in 2013. He is now Product Marketing Manager, Power Analyzers, Tektronix.
