CMicrotek has just announced a design contest for non-profit and school Maker groups. Some of the most interesting innovations in electronics based devices are coming from Makers and we want to help give them the recognition they deserve. Many of these devices combine the best of commercial products using wireless radios, battery power, MEMS sensors and 3D printed mechanical parts.
CMicrotek is developing a family of instruments for very low current/power measurements to meet the demands of today’s low-power electronic products. The ultra-low sleep currents of today’s micros and “high” current devices like wireless radios and small motors used in robotics combine to make very dynamic wide ranging current waveforms that are nearly impossible to analyze using traditional tools and methods. We will be offering our products as prizes for the winning entries.
The contest is open to all non-profit and school Maker groups. The official rules and entry forms will be posted by the end of this month. An overview of the contest is on our website at http://www.cmicrotek.com/contest.htm.
