The Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA provides very high performance-per-watt fabric, transceiver line rates, DSP processing and AMS integration in a cost optimized FPGA. Featuring MicroBlaze soft processor and 1,066Mb/s DDR3 support, it is optimized for low power applications requiring serial transceivers, high DSP and logic throughput. It features up to 215K logic cells, 13Mb BRAM, 740 DSP slices, 929 GMAC/s, 16 transceivers, 6.6Gb/s transceiver speed, 211Gb/s serial bandwidth, x4 Gen2 PCIe interface and 500 I/O pins.
The Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA features up to 478K logic cells, 34Mb block RAM, 1920 DSP slices, 2845 GMAC/s DSP performance, 32 transceivers, 12.5Gb/s transceiver speed, 800Gb/s serial bandwidth, x8 Gen2 PCIe interface, 500 I/O pins, VCXO component, advanced extensible interface 4 (AXI4) IP, agile mixed signal (AMS) integration and 1.2 to 3.3V I/O voltage. The Kintex-7 is ideal for applications including 3G and 4G wireless, flat panel displays and video over IP solutions.
Spartan-7 FPGAs feature a MicroBlaze soft processor running over 200 DMIPs with 800Mb/s DDR3 support built on 28nm technology. It offers an integrated ADC, dedicated security features, and Q-grade (-40 to +125°C) on all commercial devices. These devices are ideally suited for industrial, consumer, and automotive applications including any-to-any connectivity, sensor fusion, and embedded vision.
Development Boards
The Arty S7 is a Xilinx Spartan-7 FPGA maker and hobbyist development board. Arty S7 was designed to be MicroBlaze ready and comes out of the box ready to use with the free Xilinx WebPack version of Vivado Design Suite.
The Arty is a ready-to-use development platform designed around the Artix-7 Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) from Xilinx. It was designed specifically for use as a MicroBlaze Soft Processing System. Arty is compatible with the Vivado Design Suite. It is supported under the free WebPACK license.
The Digilent 410-328-35T410-328-35T is a small 48-pin DIP form factor development board that's based on the Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA At just 0.7 by 2.75 it can also be loaded in a standard socket and used in embedded systems It is fully compatible with the Vivado Design Suite and supported under the free WebPACK license. This free license includes the ability to create MicroBlaze soft-core processor designs.
