Poll: What Online Class Are You Excited About Taking NEXT? (64% of Goal)

There is SO MUCH to learn in the world of engineering and technology. and there are plenty of online classes to take. While the element14 Essentials provides a vehicle to learn many topics of interest to engineers, more in-depth and hands-on classes with labs can also fulfill this thirst for technical knowledge and skills improvement.

 

Poll Question: If you were take an online class what would you enroll in. (I've listed a few classes I had in mind. But you can offer topics in the comments section below. Thanks.

  • I've looked at a few (free ones) in the past but have not been impressed !

     

    The pace is often very slow, the content dated or just plain wrong.

     

    There is a lot of good stuff on the web but for me, it hasn't taken the form of free online classes or courses (paid for ones may be better but I'm unconvinced).

     

    If you need to get up to speed fast on a big subject (like maybe FPGA) there is no substitute for paid for courses where you are face to face with a good tutor and in company with half a dozen fellow learners - costs an arm and a leg - get your employer to pay image

     

    Books (you know, the real ones made of paper) are good as well.

    I won't totally disagree with you. I have done some online courses. Sometimes I like them and sometimes not.

     

    But I have wanted to improve/update our MOOCS area. I thought adding courses on topics of interest would be helpful.
