Farnell element14 is delighted to announce the launch of our new Physical Computing and Education Services hub, a dedicated resource aiming to inspire the next generation of engineers and promote the development of core STEM skills across all age groups and ability levels.
Supported by the element14 STEM Academy, our Physical Computing and Education Services hub serves as the online home for all of our education platforms, from beginner products such as micro:bit and Codebug to more advanced platforms including Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and BeagleBone. It's also the perfect place to explore the many exciting STEM products we supply from emerging developers like Wonder Workshop, BinaryBots and Kitronik.
In addition to showcasing our extensive STEM product range, the Physical Computing and Education Services hub also highlights the broad collection of free resources for these platforms, including downloadable curriculum and lesson plans, projects and activity guides and more, tailored for all levels of student ability and teaching experience. Users are directed to a number of free web-based coding environments, such as MakeCode and Scratch 3.0, that make learning block, JavaScript, and Python simple and accessible with no download required.
Supporting physical computing and digital literacy in education is at the heart of virtually everything we do at Farnell element14. It is our hope that educators working at all levels will find our new hub to be a valuable resource, providing everything you need to teach physical computing in the classroom or code club and create and kit out your schools maker spaces and labs.
