The waveform generator built into Analog Discovery 3 has a lot of features, from simple predefined signals to complex custom ones. Today's I wanted to check the sweep and modulation options. The first test was with signal swept from 1 kHz to 50 kHz in 40 ms.

The next test was to generate a 20 kHz carrier with 200 Hz amplitude modulation and 0.7 modulation index.

Here are screenshots from the oscilloscope. The first three are taken with different intensity grading display setting: 1 %, 25 %, and 50 % and the last one is with enabled color temperature display mode.




The last test was done of the really nice feature that allows generating the waveform on the output voltage of the power supply. In this case it was a trapezium function with a frequency of 2.5 Hz and 200 mV amplitude.
