Inspire Her Future – Share Your Story and Inspire the Next Generation

9 Mar 2026

Women across the world are shaping the future of engineering, electronics, and technology. The element14 Community is celebrating those voices with the #InspireHerFuture campaign, a global initiative encouraging everyone to share their stories about women in STEM, their experiences, and projects with the broader engineering community.

The goal is simple: highlight the achievements of women working and learning in STEM, and create visible role models for the next generation of engineers, makers, and technologists. Women are designing hardware, building prototypes, teaching future engineers, and solving real-world problems, but their journeys are not always widely shared. Through this campaign, the community aims to amplify those stories and build a growing library of inspiration that encourages more women to participate in engineering and technology.

Share Your Journey in STEM

The campaign invites women at all stages of their careers to participate. Whether you are a student experimenting with electronics for the first time, an early-career engineer developing new products, or a professional or educator mentoring others, your experience matters.

Participants can submit a post about their journey in STEM, highlighting:

  • Projects or technologies they’ve worked on

  • Lessons learned during their career or education

  • Challenges they have overcome

  • Advice they would share with others entering the field

Community members can also nominate a woman who has inspired them in engineering or technology. Selected stories may be featured on the element14 Community to help inspire others. Submissions are open until 30 April 2026.

Recognising Women Across the Engineering Community

Entries will be evaluated by community judges and selected across three categories:

  • Student – Women currently studying in school, college, or university

  • Early-Career – Those beginning their professional journey in STEM

  • Professional Career / Educator – Experienced engineers, researchers, teachers, or mentors

Submissions are judged based on the quality, insight, and impact of each story. Only a limited number of entries will be selected as prize winners.

Prizes for Each Category

The campaign includes a range of prizes designed to support learning, creativity, and experimentation with technology.

Student Category

  • First place Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G7 ARP

  • Second place Nintendo Switch

  • Third place Raspberry Pi 400 Kit

Early-Career Category

  • First place Apple iPad Air 11‑inch (128GB)

  • Second place Philips Hue Pro Starter Kit

  • Third place Amazon voucher

Professional Career / Educator Category

  • First place Apple Mac mini (M4)

  • Third place Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit

Additional rewards may include Farnell / Newark / element14 shopping vouchers and featured recognition on the element14 Community.

Help Inspire the Future

Engineering communities grow stronger when more voices are included.

If you are a student, engineer, maker, or educator with a story to tell, consider sharing it with the community. Your experience might be exactly what someone else needs to see to start their own journey in STEM.

You can find out more details and the competition terms and conditions, along with how to submit your story at: https://community.element14.com/p/inspire-her-future
