Favourite technological word

jack.chaney56 mentioned that his favourite word was "Just" as in, "it just works" which often hides a massive amount of work done by others to make it happen for you.

My favourite is "Simply" which comes up in our requirements statements. e.g. "It simply needs to guide the rocket and land on the asteroid". We find it used most when the person writing the request has no idea at all about what needs to be done.

Good example, I liked, in my game writing days, when we said "it isn't a bug, it's an undocumented feature!"

If you haven't broken something, you can't really call yourself an engineer.

What is a Success? No word like Failure should be used, we should replace that word with Experience, it will be much better. For example If someone says "I tried that and it was complete failure" no it should be like "I tried that and I got a 'huge experience' about what not to try/do again". Doesn't it sound like more pushing towards goal.
I believe there is never a failure, there is always less success but never 'failure'. You try you get less success, you learn, but no failure. Little Success = more experience.
So let's keep seeking for more experience because one day (at the particular moment) it will be the only thing which is going to matter the most.

If you don't succeed, try again!

yes... FUBAR is a naval term, and SNAFU is the army equivalent.

Air Corps think they don't have these issues, and for the Marines it is a way of life.

I like 'etiology' spell check says that that they put an 'a' in front across the pond.  It means the science of origins.

The best response to use when things go totally wrong is "Over Taken by Events or OBE!"

as a fan of the "hottest band in the world!!!", I really appreciate your choice.  I did have some difficulty with the cadence of the last lines. I think there are too many syllables in there.  E - Four - Teen would link up with Rock - n - Roll
    wouldn't it?
