Robert Peter Oakes
Hi, I loved your video tutorials on "The Modular Bench Power Supply ++, The Essential DIY Build for Every EE Student and Old Timer alike... ", though I haven't seen all(of course due to busy schedule but soon I'll be, who wants to miss such great knowledge). There are points in those tutorials only an experience person can tell you. That's what is needed to be done and you shared your knowledge with community members. I'm & other members are grateful for that.

Few days back, I had a little talk with jack.chaney56 on his blog post "Clean up the mess ". He is working on making tutorials on topic "engine controller".

I also wish to tell you that It was by chance that I came across your blog posts(obviously before being mentioned by another member on my post about power supply for home lab) I didn't knew about those blog posts earlier. My point being, there might be many other members who had previously shared their knowledge by doing something similar and it might have been lost in somewhere there in large database of community. I do not want any other needful member or visitor to miss such useful knowledge in future.

So, I've taken a step furthur to create a new group under title "The specified item was not found. ". Idea is to link or create blog posts under this group category so that one can easily get access to video lectures or tutorials. So I'm asking for a huge help from your side for the same. I'm asking your permission to create a blog post in new group "Courses by Element14 members" which will redirect to your blog posts. Or you can edit and change the group for the blog posts (I know this is too much to ask). Or you can suggest me a better solution to make such kind of tutorials, lectures easily accessable to everyone?

I'm eagerly waiting for your response on this matter. Thank you image

p.s.- I tried to reach out to you via Direct message but I got this error :

Hi! I didn't fully understand how you plan to do it, but if you mean using URL links, then no problem, feel free to link to any material I've worked on! (I wouldn't want it moved, because stuff is in different…

I think consolidating all the various post people have done in the community is a great idea, I even have trouble finding my own stuff on occasion when i want to direct a member to it and was thinking of something similar to this

So absolutely you have my permission (I don't think you really need it but I do appreciate the respect of asking anyway) and I will be happy to add to or tweak it once it is up and running. I will be creating ore power supply posts real soon and starting a new series on the Arduino and general control of I2C, SPI and other interfaced chips, all for the purpose of showing newcomers how to do stuff. 99% of it will be videos in my same old style with posts in E14 and possibly other places to add clarity with schematics and the like

    Hi, Thank you image
Actually I can direct message to Shabaz only, for many members I get that error as they are not following me/ not in my contact list. It will be helpful if you can re-edit that comment and mention them directly here. I will be adding few posts in the new group soon.
I'm currently gathering info about those who has done similar kind of tutorials over past years.

I don't have an issue, but I wonder if this is better directed at spannerspencer in order that it could be a menu item.

We've always commented that the search within element14 is less than useful at times, so new people would need to find this group and then search through the contents.

(I wouldn't want it moved, because stuff is in different areas depending on the topic - we engineers move around ; )

    Thanks!

    Hi Mudz,

While Robert Peter Oakes was kind to include me most of my posts are pretty basic. I have a series of shop related blogs about simple ideas that I use in my own shop to organize or solve problems. You are welcome to link to any of my material that you feel would fit in your new group.

Yeah, interesting thought -- go for it, if you feel there's value in it, mudz.

Remember that we can now post content in multiple areas of the Community. To post something in two places, go to the original piece of content, click the "Share" button in the top right corner of the sidebar, and click the "People or Places" element14 button.

You can then type in the name of the other place you want the content to appear, and it'll show up in both its original location, and your new one  image

Might be a good way to populate your new group, without people having to move their content out of its home.

Thank you all for your support !

It is very helpful information that we can share blog posts in multiple groups, so it won’t be any problem to collaborate tutorials, lectures at one place.

Few thoughts(subject to improvements) on how it will be done:

    - A list of courses, short intro (with author name) in a blog post will be updated time to time.

    - For those Tutorial blogs which are already mentioned in a specific group I will make a short blog about those lectures/tutorials also and a direct link to that blog.

    - Also, if possible, there will be a sample video taken from one of the videos listed on the blog.

    - It does not matter how small the blog or tutorial post is, as long as it is delivering some valuable information it will be listed there.

    - To give author lesser trouble I’ll be asking their permission to draft a short blog (on their behalf) related to their blogs so that they themselves can post them in the group under their own name.
