Do you need to read to make?

drlucyrogers
drlucyrogers over 9 years ago

Ben Rogers (@benrogersedu) is interested in how children are taught to read technical and science stuff.

He has tweeted:

Does reading make a better maker? Please help me help young makers by completing a 5min survey.

Thanks! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/18l8QnHVQut9WT6Qox46MJCwn9OrVQ3pzkjvne-HHXsI/viewform

If you could do the survey and pass it on to other makers, we'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Lucy

He was a Secondary school science teacher and couldn't understand why some kids who did well in English wouldn't read the science homework questions.

Here's his blog about it - on the Royal Society of Chemistry's website :http://www.rsc.org/blogs/eic/2015/09/reading-lessons-science-texts

    Hi Petri,

I would need more information and explanation from you to understand your position. This seems to me to be a question of participate or don't participate but no need to be negative.
