sorting virtual badges in profile/achievements to flag gaps in elearning/quizzes ?

robogary

I'd like to complete elearning modules on the various topics series that I have started in E14.

The learning modules often have quizzes that earn virtual badges in my profile/achievements, to signify completion.

Those virtual badges seemingly can't be moved around or sorted to help me figure out which modules I missed.

I'm procrastinating doing a manual inventory of those online elearning topics.

Does anyone have a fast way to organize their virtual achievement badges to make it easy to find training topic gaps ?

Does it make sense to ask for a feature in our Profile/Achievements to organize, sort, or categorize the badges to make it easy to find those gaps ?

It would be nice to see a flag that indicates that you have already passed a quiz. I have been know to take the same quiz more than once.....and not realizing it until half way through. I have 196 badges…

I would actually love to arrange quizzes, webinars and essentials quizzes as a sort of 'elearning course' that you take and have them grouped together so you can see what you've achieved and then perhaps even have an electronic certificate at the end.

Would people be interested in that? I'd call it 'element14 Community accredited' since there's mostly Engineers here.

Otherwise what you're asking for is not trivial and requires development work, and time, and figuring out how it'd look from a user interface perspective, and this isn't natively supported in Verint, but that doesn't stop me wanting to flesh it out to make it a thing.

Sounds like a pretty helpful idea. Your accreditation idea sounds like it could be a good motivation tool, too.

I'm not so much needing an electronic certificate, but even if the badges would be displayed in alphabetical order would be helpful to see gaps.

Splitting the achievements into 2 categories maybe another avenue, if it helps the software development. One for category for eLearning/training/webinars self help participation and another for community contributions.

At the moment there's no way to categorise achievements, they simply don't work that way, they are painfully basic:
    https://community.telligent.com/community/11/w/user-documentation/63087/what-is-an-achievement-and-how-do-i-change-or-manage-achievements

It would likely require a change to Verint as a platform, and the approach for that is:

Raise as a Verint idea -> Wait for others to vote on that idea -> Wait for Verint to Review the idea -> Wait for Verint to decide whether or not to implement the idea

But I'm thinking that we could do something like this for some of the topics if they're associated with one another, and perhaps use an area like MOOCS to show related achievements in a box for a given 'course' and maybe there's a way to show if you as a member have 'achieved' each one/step or not. We could also do this under the 'essentials' quiz links if it's possible.
