Might be time for some new Community swag?

We have some new t-shirt designs, and we're looking for more blue robots, and I may have found a source for something else:

  • some advantages of the mat:

    • does not slip on the table
    • pcb does not slip on it
    • you can do hot air reflow on the mat, or above the mat, without burning the table
    • all solder remnants stay contained: you can pick it up and shake clean above the garbage bin
    • the separated areas help, either when picking/placing, and when desoldering (although I cut the 3 silly lids on the top from my mat)
    • areas where you can put an exacto knife without it rolling away, screwdrivers, flux pen, braid..
    • you can switch solder tips before full cool-down, just drop the hot tip in one of the pockets
    • you can roll it up and stow it away, perfectly flat the next time
    • antistatic

    as I indicated before: several sections are magnetic
