My Raspberry Pi smells delicious from time to time. Could you tell me what might be causing this and why?

Is it the Pi4 with 64G of memory? Mine would occasionally smell like butter. Could be a similar feature. I searched the forums and someone suggested my drivers were out of date. I updated and now it smells like burnt pie crust.

If you are noticing a magic blue smoke smell coming from your Raspberry Pi, it could be due to overheating. When the Raspberry Pi gets too hot, components may begin to burn or melt, which can produce an odor. In this case, you should immediately stop causing heat to your Raspberry Pi and allow it to cool down before attempting to use it again.

On the other hand, if you are smelling something sweet or fruity, it is possible that something nearby is causing the smell or you're actually in possession of a Raspberry Pie. It is also possible that the Raspberry Pi's casing or contents are made from materials that have a distinct smell that you are noticing.

Do you think this is something that would be covered by warranty? If so, how can I return my Raspberry Pi safely?

Warranty is void if you are missing BITS or took a BYTE ([/joke mode]
