Cleaning Up Bookmarks Comes at a Cost (Humor)

I hadn't thought about the points in our profiles for a while - so I took a look.  And I noticed a minus sign.

Revoked!  Laughing      I have the mental image of a basketball being swatted away from the rim.  DEE-nied!

Call me silly.  It made me chuckle.  I guess trying to be organized comes at a cost. Ha! Ha! Stuck out tongue winking eye

Another way to lose them is when a blog is converted to a forum. If any of your comments in the blog were liked, then they can end up getting revoked.

Easy come easy go I guess. On the bright side I guess we can cash out our points for bookmarks.

It's a little better than "Pat, I'd like to buy a vowel." At least I only lose the 5 points I got for creating the bookmark.

My brain wasn't fully operational earlier.  Now I understand that you initially gained 5 points for creating a bookmark.  Later these 5 points were taken away once you removed the bookmark during your 'clean up.'  I was envisioning a cruel world where bookmarks were costing us 5 points.  I guess I am jaded from DLCs and in-game purchases.

dang74 Accidently prophetic.  I like.  You were and are still correct. Relaxed

If it were possible to achieve a net minus five, I must admit that I would consider seeing how many points I could lose in a day - now.  There was a time where I would have never considered it.

I like the point system because it makes me laugh at myself.  The points really don't mean anything - but I can't just let it go either.  I think it's a quirk of the "fix it / make it better" mentality that plagues... well... all of us on the forum.  I could be as wrong as perpetual motion math... but maybe not. Joy
