Vintage HiFi maintenance season

I have an early 70s receiver that needs some maintenance. The switches and pots have become scratchy again.

It's the second time that I'll be servicing it. The first time I did a full check, and fixed the lights. This time it's just a clean-and-lube of the dials and push buttons.

I have a Scott 370R that I bought in 1980. I rewired the ON - OFF switch so it stays ON all the time. I use a switched outlet strip to power the system. All the switches all need hosed down with contact cleaner.  The Scott receiver doesnt have the balls to drive my Bose 601s, so the receiver feeds a 100W a side Carver magnetic amplifier. I noticed the highs dont seem as bright lately, most likely its my hearing that is degrading.
