Hi guys, I’m new here so just wanted to check in and introduce myself.

I’m 51 and a lifelong mechanic. Started in HGV’s in the UK, ran away to sea with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, then now find myself fixing trains for Northern Rail via a bit of self employment and several other stupid adventures.

i do have a dream though. Being a biker, I’d love to develop a head up display for speed, revs and gear selection that can be worn like specs inside a helmet. Think Google glass kinda thing. Anyone got any ideas?

There was an ' Arduino Glasses a HMD for Multimeter ' project over on Hackaday a while ago which might be of some interest: https://hackaday.io/project/12211-arduino-glasses-a-hmd-for-multimeter

Welcome! Love when people mix two of their passions into their projects. I'm sure you can get a lot of ideas from people here, but I would advice to put safety first and test your prototypes and ideas safely first, and slowly progress until you get something that won't compromise your awareness or health in any way.
